Search the Classic Catalog:
The Library Catalog is the best first access point for finding books and journals available at Cornell. If you cannot find what you need through the Catalog, try the following:
-
For
books not available at Cornell, search the combined catalogs of seven consortial major university libraries and place a request through
Borrow Direct.
-
For
journals not available at Cornell, check the
WorldCat database or speak with a Reference librarian.
Journal abbreviations: the catalog allows you to search journal titles by abbreviation. Simply enter an abbreviation, or part of an abbreviation, as it appears in a citation; select "Title" search type, and the results will show all journal titles that match the characters entered. For example, "z phy" will return all subsets of "Zeitschrift fur Physik"; "j fluid mech" will return Journal of Fluid Mechanics. For broader results, you may enter the abbreviation, but choose "Journal Title Abbreviation" for search type. Other search options...
