ASME Papers - Don't hesitate to consult the information desk and engranswers@cornell.edu. - 1946-2001 -under TJ1 .A5125 in Engineering Library and Library Annex. For verification, check Google or the journal Mechanical Engineering TJ1 .M48, which has a publications section listing ASME papers from 1978 through March 2002.
- 2002 - issued as part of conference proceedings volumes, such as ASME International Mechanical Engineering Conference and Exposition, with numbers like IMECE2004-62208. Use Google and Compendex to find numbers, search the library catalog for the conferences.
- Another tool is Seventy-Seven Year Index: Technical Papers 1880-1956, Engr Reference TJ1 .A517. Also here is an index to 1957-1970.
- Papers not held at Cornell may be requested through interlibrary loan.
SAE Papers SAE Publications & Standards Database on CD-ROM is an index located at the CD Workstation (not networked). Use the SAE web page to identify SAE papers by number, author, etc.
1947-1951 - selected papers published in SAE Quarterly Transactions, TL1 .S112
1908-1964 - selected papers published in SAE Transactions, TL1. S111
1965 - 2004 - Microfiche 13, located in a file cabinet in the library basement.
2005 to present - contact engranswers@cornell.edu - so we can consider for purchase
