IMPORTANT - Settings Changes 2008!
- Download the installer: MDLCrossFireCommander70.exe
- Save it on your desktop
- Install Beilstein Commander
- Double-click on the desktop icon for MDLCrossFireCommander70.exe.
- If you have previous versions of Commander installed, the installer will remove them before continuing. After the uninstall of previous versions is complete, the installer will continue.
- You can choose file locations, etc., or accept the defaults.
- When the program asks you for an address, enter: crossfire-acad.elsevier.com.
- When the program asks you for a group name, enter: cornell in each box.
- The installer has all the information it needs. You may finish the installation.
- Run Beilstein Commander
- Go to the Start menu and choose Programs.
- Unless you changed it during installation, you can run the Beilstein Commander by choosing the MDL Crossfire Commander 7.0 folder, and looking for: MDL Crossfire Commander 7.0.
- To initiate the session click on the red cross arrows icon.
- You will then be prompted for UserID and Password, enter UserID: cornell, and Password m4rfdk. Feel free to check the Save user id and password box if you don't want to remember the password next time. Don't try to change the password; it won't work.
Note: the default installation of Commander uses MDL IsisDraw as the default structure editor. You can change this to the MDL Crossfire Structure Editor under the OPTIONS/Structure Editor menu.
